Le Roy Sante (1890-1964), a pioneer radiologist, received his medical degree from the Washington University School of Medicine in 1913. He served his internship at Saint Louis City Hospital (1913-1914). He was a radiologist in private practice in St. Louis and Ellendale, N.D. and head of radiology departments at St. Louis City Hospital (1919-1945), St. Louis University School of Medicine (1928-), and St. Mary's Hospital (1924-).
